Why you should not sideload a downloader APK

Sideloaded downloader APKs are one of the most reliable sources of Android malware there is. Installing one means granting storage access, often notification and accessibility access, to an unsigned binary from a site with no accountability. A web page runs inside Chrome's sandbox and can request none of that.

Where Android puts the file

Chrome saves to Internal storage ▸ Download. Your gallery app usually picks up new video there within a few seconds; if it does not appear immediately, open the Files app and play it from the Download folder.
