What we do
TokDown makes saving videos easy. You give us a public TikTok link, and we check to see if we can get a clean MP4 video or an MP3 audio file. If we find it, we show you the download buttons. We do not fake anything: if a video is blocked or private, we tell you the truth.
How we do it
- Super Simple. You just paste one link. There are no confusing settings to learn.
- Total Privacy. We do not ask for your TikTok password. Never give your password to any downloader site!
- Honest Info. Every feature we talk about on this site has been tested by real people on real phones.
- Play Fair. Please only download videos you are allowed to save. If you need to report a copyright issue, read our DMCA policy.
How we write our guides
- Research. We look at the actual questions people ask on Google about downloading TikToks.
- Draft. We write simple, clear answers that anyone can understand.
- Testing. Our developers test the steps on iPhones, Androids, and PCs to make sure they actually work.
- Review. A second person checks the writing to make sure it is true and helpful.
- Updates. Whenever TikTok changes their app, we update our guides so you always have the right info.
You can read more about how we write our content in our editorial policy.

Things we cannot do
- We cannot guarantee a watermark-free video every single time. It depends on the original video.
- We cannot download private videos, deleted videos, or blocked videos.
- We do not host or save copies of your downloaded videos on our servers.
- We are not lawyers. Make sure you have the right to download a video before you do it.
